The procedureAn x-ray is used to determine more precise information regarding the location and severity of the tooth decay, allowing the dentist to start the filling process. The area of decay is removed leaving a clean solid remaining portion of the tooth to be filled. The filling material is then applied to the area to restore the tooth to its original form and function. Placing a composite filling requires isolation of the affected tooth to prevent any moisture interference that could affect the bond of the composite restoration. Our professionals ensure the composite material is of the desired type and best quality. The composite material is also hardened with a special bonding light. The tooth is then polished.
